Tara Academy Darwin offers Irish dance and music classes for all skill levels. Our qualified teachers are passionate about helping each dancer achieve their highest potential, while also having as much fun as possible! TARA TOTS
Looking for a new activity for your little wiggler and jiggler? Our Tara Tots class is open to children aged 3 - 5 and our students will tell you - it's lots of fun!
INTRO TO IRISH DANCE
New to Irish Dancing? Try this introductory class for kids ages 6 and over.
GRASSHOPPERS
For beginners aged 6 and over - the perfect class to make new friends and learn the basics of Irish Dancing.
GREEN FROGS
You know the basics and are getting ready for your first pair of hardshoes!
CELTIC KIDS
You're progressing through the beginner dances.
JINGILI JIGGERS
For students who have completed their beginner dances and are ready to master trickier moves.
GALWAY GIRLS
Suitable for already skilled dancers who have established a good foundation.
Have you recently moved to Darwin and looking for a registered CLRG school? Feisanna (competitions) and Grade Exams are available through Tara Academy.
ADULT SOCIAL IRISH DANCE
Our adult Irish dancing social classes are about having fun, learning how to Irish dance (with a focus on Ceili dancing) and making friends. These classes will be held directly after the adult Irish music class, where we can enjoy a champagne at the end. Why not try both?
ADULT IRISH STEP DANCING
For retired dancers or those wanting a challenge!
BEGINNER IRISH MUSIC
Learn to play the tin whistle or the Irish drum 'bodhran'. Taught by a qualified music teacher from Ireland who has experience teaching kids in a classroom environment, your child will learn the basics and popular Irish tunes.
